Attention all Westside Wizards! We are excited to kick off 2026 with a thrilling first meeting of the year that you won’t want to miss. Our lecturer was rescheduled from a few months ago.
On Tuesday, January 13, get ready for an evening of laughter, learning, and pure amazement as we welcome the incomparable Phil Van Tee—magician, comedian, and one of the most creative minds in the art of magic! Known for his originality, charm, and decades of professional experience, Phil brings a unique blend of wit and wonder to every performance.

Also known as “El Ropo”, Phil will share his expertise in rope and knot magic, focusing on the fundamentals of manipulation and his original variations and handling techniques that have made his routines a favorite among magicians worldwide. Whether you’re brand new to rope magic or looking to refine your existing routine, this lecture will give you the tools and inspiration to elevate your performance.

Expect clever ideas, practical tips, and that unmistakable “Phil Van Tee twist” that turns simple effects into showstoppers. Bring a length of rope if you’d like to follow along (we’ll supply some if you don’t have any) as Phil encourages hands-on participation!
